 | Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Simcoe has received a grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation in the amount of $146,000 payable over three years. BBBS has received the first installment of the grant and it is hoped that the infusion of cash will allow more children within our area to be served. |
With the money, BBBS has appointed Kelly Cetnarski as Executive Director. Kelly will still continue her duties as Caseworker.
BBBS has hired a part-time Fundraiser who will organize the much needed fundraising events that fuel all of the day-to-day operating costs. Please welcome France Young, Director of Development as she introduces herself to the community.
Currently, BBBSSS is monitoring 60 Big/Little matches throughout New Tecumseth and Adjala-Tosorontio. There are 19 boys and 4 girls waiting to be matched, ranging in age from 6 - 16 years old. It takes a lot of time and money to put matches together. Each match requires at least six to seven hours of paperwork just to initiate. Then each case has to be monitored and detailed files maintained.
Stop by the office and say hello to our wonderful staff!
